Pilgrims English Coaching

For many years there has been a paradigm or “way of learning” English that has consisted of going to a school, into a classroom, with a teacher and a book and following the teacher and he/she teaches you English. This is the way it is today in schools and colleges around the world.

If you are an adult in business or work today, this is still the way of learning that you is being offered to you. You may learn “business English or English for work but it’s still based on the old method of teacher/book/exercises to find the correct word etc. This is the predictable way that people sometimes assume is the only way!

The world has changed but English teaching hasn’t! Except with Pilgrims.

The intention of the Pilgrims app is to show what is possible for you and other like you who are learning English or having difficulty learning. We intend to make the experience and the sharing of information and experience and enjoyable one.

The distinctions and content of the Pilgrims app is for you to consider, challenge and use at your discretion. We do not ask you to believe anything on the app; neither do we suggest that you disbelieve anything on the app. Instead, we invite you to “try on” for yourself, some of the elements and learning here so that after trying on the ideas, you can make a free and informed choice for yourself and your English.

At Pilgrims we start with WHAT IS POSSIBLE not what is predictable. In fact, we create the space of “Anything is possible that YOU say is possible for you, your English and your life”. You access this out of your participation and engagement with this app and in Pilgrims in Canterbury.

The Pilgrims app is deigned for you to receive educational and awareness information for you and your English. The content of this app is generated by Pilgrims coaches and Pilgrims participants in English. There is also the option of your participation in Pilgrims through the Pilgrims app by asking and submitting requestions for information about English, communication, skills and life.

Your submissions will be treated with respect and answered either in video form, podcast form or blog form. We may also contact you via your email with a personalised answer to your questions.

All in all, the Pilgrims app is a form of sharing; sharing experiences, ideas, information, content and possibilities for you and other people in the world of English as a second language.
